People like to work with people they know and trust. So, how do you get personal?
-Send out hand written thank-you cards
-Give them your best advise/information/promotions. Give them something that has value.
-Be very good at what you do and let them know it. This helps build your credibility.
-Call on the phone and follow-up. Be their advisor and help them solve their problem(s).
Sending out postcards, flyers, etc are more traditional methods of marketing and
advertising your business and they should not be overlooked.
This is the best time to give your clients something of value. Look at the “opportunity
cost” associated with coupons, discounts, special offers, free products, information or a
service. You may not make as much, but you could get more sales to offset the cost.
