Ok first you need to make sure you have all the basics.
A solid business plan. Doesn’t have to set the world on fire but you need to know where you and your customers stand when it comes to your business.
Hygiene. Would you want your food served on a dirty plate by someone with stinking fag breath and a poor grasp of the English language?
Good quality, well priced food. There’s no point having shark on the menu if your potential customers want tuna mayo and vice versa.
Marketing – A good restaurant will market itself. 80% + of your business will be repeat custom so once you get them in the door it’s about getting them to come back. Forget spending thousands on marketing. Word of mouth is and will continue to be the driving factor in the success of new start businesses.
In your question you spell success incorrectly. That wouldn’t put everyone off eating at your restaurant but it certainly would me.
Many might say that this is unjustified but I am just as likely to wander past your restaurant as they are and if I saw incorrect spelling on your menu I would be inclined to go elsewhere.
I’m not being nasty I’m just saying that you should think about what your customers might want to see not what you can get out of them.
Keep it simple.
Back to Basics is the answer.
Get yourself down to your local library and pick up as many books on business as you can.
Read them and re-read them. They are full of not only advice but other peoples mistakes that you don’t have to make.
