i’ve been on all …
i’ve been on all three classes (all on the 826/827 route). i do agree with people regarding back pain in y – had to stuff quite a few pillows in the gap you feel between your lower back and seat. but it was a matter of finding a comfy position.
as for j, didn’t feel claustrophobic (as many people have been pointing out) just recline and u’ll find more space.
F is definitely a treat. definitely one of the best F in the sky. the food, service and comfort = love. would like to go back on F soon!

I’ve seen a lot of reviews about the economy class seats, and a lot of people like them. One thing that’s nice is the seat in front can’t recline into your space. The business class looks very cool.

the econ seat suck, i tried it on July and aug already, same as your flight JFK-HKG… you will feel how terrible on your back after 3-4 hrs on it. i m flying next month too^^ my suggestion bring some cushion to support ur back.

I hope the seats are more comfortable then they look. I’m flying next month from New York to Hong Kong. I do like the feature of a power port for my lap top.

i was on the july flight on cathey pacific where they had the new interior. i have to say it was much better then the older one. i really loved the on demand stuff they have.

Last time I got …
Last time I got slated for saying it was horrible by people who had never even been on. The seats are too uncomfortable and hard and the meal-prep room in between the aisles didn’t help as well- since passengers trying to use the other side of the lavatories couldn’t and the lav. were virtually full the entire flight. I was very much relieved when my connecting flight had the old interior fitted as it was way more spacious. It’s awesome on short flights (CxStudio) but a disaster on long flights.

i guess you cannot pay attention to the safety video because you are too conscious about your own tv
look across the aisle and the tv right across is showing the safety video
i found out that people tends to just stay in the same position when they lie down to sleep
they wont move up to maximize the space (which there are so much space to move around…)

Just flew HKG to …
Just flew HKG to KIX on a 747-400 with new Z style business seats. Hated it. Dark and claustrophobic cabin. Couldn’t find the headrest. They tell you to pay attention to the safety video, which you can’t see. People knock your feet constantly as they pass you, especially if you are tall. NO storage in the seat at all. Even the stewardess couldn’t find any. Strain your neck to try to look out of the window. AVOID IT!

economy does look a …
economy does look a bit untidy, its could be all the great gadgets. I think they should of layed it out better ! But First Class look better than Singapore’s Suites !
